Idaho Baptist College recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information about our students and others who visit our web site.  Through our web site, we strive to provide valuable information to you about how we may serve you.  Whether you are a valued existing student or someone considering application, we hope our site answers your question regarding your educational needs.

Our web site does not require you to disclose any personally identifying information unless you are attempting one of the following:

  • Applying/Reactivate to the school
  • Requesting a Transcript, Status Sheet, Letter of Certification, Diploma Reorder, Diploma Information, or making an Donation
  • Paying for Tuition or making a payment towards your student account.
  • Requesting information about the institution.

Idaho Baptist College does not take credit card or online payment options at this time. All payments are to be made by check either by mail or in person.

If you choose to contact us via email, please keep in mind that your email address, and any other information your e-mail header shows about you, such as your name or organization, will be revealed to us in the email.

We pledge that when you communicate with us via email or form submission, we will use your information only for the specific purpose of responding to your comments or question.  Students should never send Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to Idaho Baptist College via email. For that reason, we encourage you to provide such information in person, by mail, or by a Secure File Transfer through a portal such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive (at this time other portals are subject to review, you are responsible for maintaining a strong password at such a portal and the security, privacy and terms of use is depending on the portal you choose to use), that way, attachments or communications containing PII may be securely sent directly to our administrative office. Idaho Baptist College is only responsible for maintaining records on our side of the portal if you choose to send PII through electronic means. You will be responsible for working out the details (such as setting up your account and sharing a folder or file with the registrar) with the registrar of such a transfer through a third party portal as described above.

Your personal information will never be sold, nor will it be shared outside Idaho Baptist College use, except for use by the Seminary Extension and THEC (Tennessee Higher Education Commission) for the purpose of storing course information, student records and accrediting your course credits, unless we are compelled to do so by law. When you use our services, we have access to your personal information. Idaho Baptist College does not disclose any nonpublic personal information about students or prospects to anyone, unless given specific permission by the student. 

Idaho Baptist College collects and maintains personal information from individuals who have agreed to provide it to the Institution.  The personal information is maintained at Idaho Baptist College in accordance with Institution’s record retention policies and procedures.  Approved personal information provided by an individual will only be used for regular business purposes of the Institution and periodic contact concerning upcoming events, recruitment, admission, registration, and other Idaho Baptist College related items.  Should an individual have any questions about record retention policies and procedures, use of personal information, like to “opt-out” of future communication, the individual must contact Idaho Baptist College at registrar@idahobaptistcollege.com.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. We also maintain the right to remove any comments at our discretion.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
